Our websites are built around the Joomla CMS and a template. These templates fall into three categories, off the shelf, customized and bespoke, however they all function in essentially the same way.
1. Off the Shelf. There are thousands of templates from hundreds of designers available for you to use. Some are free, some are not. The better quality templates tend to be of the paid for variety, but this is not always the case. This is the quickest and most cost effective way to get a website up and running. The main drawback to this option is that your website will not be unique to you, unless you 'buy out' the template from the designer, this can be expensive. When deciding on a website style you need to consider what you want to convey to your audience and how you want to do that. Do you want a static website, that is simple, easy to navigate and informative, yet a little boring to use. Or, a more dynamic website that delivers your content in a way that is more enguaging for your visitors. There are many examples to chose from. Click on the links below to see examples.
2. Customized. In our opinion, this is the best option for most clients, we take an 'off the peg' template and style it to suit your brand and image. The main benefit of this approach is that it is cost effective and offers a certain level of individuality.
3. Bespoke. A bespoke template is designed from the ground up to suit the needs of a specific client. These templates are unique and are not commercially available for others to use. A bespoke template is best suited to a website that has a specific task to perform. These are by nature expensive due to the amount of work involved in their graphic design, structure and complexity.
Below are links to ten demo websites we really like built on various free templates, Some of the functionality is limited in the free versions, but that is where 'customization' comes into the game. This is our favorite way to build a website, as it 'ticks all the boxes' Professionally Designed - , Tried & Tested - , Stable - , cost effective - , Up To Date - .
